Neon May is the author of the urban fantasy series for young adults, Slumberland Station. He was born in France, graduated from the University of Cambridge, and currently lives in San Francisco.
When not writing or analyzing data in Silicon Valley, Neon reads novels and comic books (he’s a big fan of Nagaru Tanigawa, Fredric Brown, and Edgar P. Jacobs), watches animated movies (on top of his list are Hayao Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon, and Makoto Shinkai), and listens to his favorite Drum & Bass artist, London Elektricity. When there’s time left, he plays car racing video games.
He also sometimes posts trivialities on his blogs, slumberlandstation.com and neonmay.com.
All that extra activity is made possible by the adoption of a longer day cycle, which incidentally has prevented him from growing up.
Neon believes Haruhi Suzumiya is up to something.
Slumberland Station is a five-book series. Chloe and the Half-World is the first installment. The next volume, Chloe and the Hollow House, will be released in spring 2013.
